CWC Intern and Counselor
Spero Family Services
First and foremost, I am glad that you have made the decision to seek counseling. Your first time may feel a bit overwhelming or even scary and these emotions are completely normal. Please know that I want everyone who comes in my office to feel like it is a safe space to unload all of the things that may have been bottled up and weighing you down. One of my favorite quotes is “All of your emotions are welcome here, they are not too much for me”. My goal is working with individuals to help them to feel seen and heard as who they wish to be and being there to guide you through your healing process. I feel that mental health is just as important as physical health and I am pleased to be able to assist in this journey. Wherever you might be on your mental health journey, I wish to meet you where you are!
I received my Bachelors of Science with a focus on Behavioral Health and Criminal Justice from Missouri Baptist University. I am currently on track to receive my Masters of Arts with a focus on Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024. I have completed many trainings in areas such as understanding trauma stress, treatment planning for trauma, psychological first aid, among others. Although I love working with many different age groups, my main focus has been with teenagers and adults. I have previous experience in the social services department of a nursing facility and have worked in the criminal justice system. I have been blessed to complete my practicum and internship with Spero and fell in love with the healthy atmosphere. I primarily use person-centered therapy as well as CBT to help you reach your goals.
