CWC Play Therapy Manager

Spero Family Services

As the Play Therapy Manager, I am deeply passionate about helping children navigate their world through the power of play. I specialize in play therapy techniques to support children in processing trauma, managing emotions, and developing healthy coping skills. I am completing my training and supervision to become a Registered Play Therapist.  My work is rooted in a child-centered, trauma-focused approach. I strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all children, including the LGBTQ+ community.  Through the therapeutic powers of play, I truly believe that children can grow, heal, and thrive.

With over 15 years of experience in social work and mental health, I hold a Master’s degree in Human Behavior from Capella University (2015) and have completed a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2024) to obtain licensure. My background includes crisis counseling, residential treatment, and working with at-risk juveniles and their families. I am trained in evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities, including Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Triple P Parenting. I believe in the healing power of play and am committed to helping children heal, grow, and thrive.
